På teckningar från 1200-1300 ser man ofta att brynjehosorna täcker fötterna. Någon som vet om det rör sig om stövlar av ringbryna eller om ben och fotdel sitter ihop ungefär som strumpbyxor.

Satt det ringbrynja på "skons" underdel alltså sulan eller var det läder?

På mer detaljerade gravskulpturer ser man ibland att brynjehosorna knutis fast, både bak längst benet och under foten. Normalt verkar man alltså ha haft vanliga skor och knutit fast brynjehosan ovan på dem. Detta kan man se på sista bilden i följande länk:
