Vilka regler gällde egentligen på medeltiden med giftermål? Det kanske varierade? Isåfall är jag intresserad av tiden sent 1200-t till tidigt 1300-tal.

Tex så var Magnus Ladulås tvungen att begära påvlig dispens för att han tidigare varit trolovad med en dam som visade var släkt i 4:de led med hans nuvarande fru.

Men vad räknades som släkt? Jag har för mig att jag läst/hört att även "andliga" släktingar och ingifta räknades. Men vad är "andlig" släkt?

Och hur många led var man tvungen att vara åtskilda? Fick man gifta sig med någon som tidigare varit trolovad med sin bror?

Och hur räknar man fram i vilket led någon är släkt? Tex om Sofias farbror är gift med Helvigs faster. I vilket led är Helvig och Sofia släkt? Eller de kanske inte räknades som släkt alls?
