Helst skall man kunna dra ned den helt över axlarna så att det inte sticker upp något vitt i ringningen. Blir väldigt oanständigt...
På många bilder, särskilt från 1400-talet, har särkarna trekvartsärm. INGET jag rekommenderar! Eländet tenderar att korva upp sig ända upp i armhålan och stryper blodtillförseln helt när man tar på sig klänningen över... Däremot kan man göra särkärmen lite vidare så att den går att dra upp när man skall diska och så.
