Rosa är inte att fnysa åt, och det gjorde man nog inte fordom. Att vi inte vill ha rosa beror ju på att färgen är så ruggit stigmatiserad. Kvinnor gör uppror mot den för att den ses som en typisk "tjejfärg" och män för att de känner sig femiga.
Gå tillbaka ett par hundra år och rosa var en uppskattad färg.

Mer färgat linne i fynden, hurra!

Sen ar det ju sa att alla fargamnen gar att farga linne med, aven om det kanske blir lite blekt, det ar ju bara det att linne kokar man, sa vad man an fargar med blir ju valdigt misshandlat. Jag har fargat linne med vanlig krapp fargning, och det blev rosa och fint (om man ar min yngre dotter).

Färgat linne är ingen revolutionerande nyhet, det dyker upp lite då och då i det arkeologiska materialet. Främst då blått, men även rött. Det är frekvensen som är det viktiga; hur vanligt det var samt i vilket sammanhang det användes!

Jag håller på att höra mig för ang. fyndet och dess vidare publicering. Av formen på brättet på det (irriterande nog) upp-och-ned-vända ovalspännet så bör det handla om 900-tal som tidigast. Den ytterst skumma hängselkjolen är dock - eh - skumm...
Skall se vad jag kan luska fram via mina östliga kontakter.

Inte för att jag vill dämpa entusiasmen - blått linne finns det ju fynd av sedan tidigare, både vikingatid och medeltid! Som jag vill minnas att någon här i krokarna uttryckte det "vejde biter på allt!"

Men ju fler textila fynd, desto roligare blir livet, tycker jag! [:D]
