Det är synd att den delen av avhandlingen inte fått mer uppmärksamhet, för det är ett nytt och givande tillvägagångssätt och i mitt tycke mycket mer spännande än jämförelsen med ett urval av samtida konst. Med hjälp av CT-scanningen har Marianne fått ut mycket information från ett material som annars varit mycket svårtolkat; och utan att förstöra det. (obs! Det är knappast lättolkat nu heller, det kräver sin expertis.)

Det har hittats spår av krapp i, men den kan ju ha varit fis-aprikos eller orange också, två vanliga krappfärger. Jag och Malin ska provfärga lin med krapp och tanniner så får vi se hur det håller för tvätt.
Särken var troligen inte synlig när den bars, kanske rör det sig om 1300-talets svar på raffiga underkläder? Endast för makens glädje?

Gaimsters bok <i>German Medieval stoneware 1200-1900</i>: "A presentation of a female potter (Hefneryn) on a mid-15th-century playing card, made as part of a set (Hofämterspiel) divided into four suits with the arms of Germany, Bohemia, Hungary and France and illustrated with Habsburg court official, servants and tradesmen.
