Vel at mærke bukser med kile i skridtet. Måske er forskellen om de er syet sammen i skridtet eller båret som to adskilte hoser?

I Danmark synes jeg nu ikke man ser mange korte ærmer i vikingeri. Men ind imellem ser man Nordbokjoler brugt, selvom de er fra 1300-tallet (Vel en misforståelse fordi de bliver kaldt Nordbokjoler). Blandt dem er der er par stykker med korte ærmer, men stadig kun til kvinder.

Jag tror att kortärmat är populärt för vikingadyrkare idag därför att vi idag tycker att t-shirts, gärna för små på övervuxna manliga individer är manligt, förutsatt att de ser ut som Arnold förstås. Och i myten ser ju alla vikingar ut som Arnold.
Dessutom sågs det kanske som lite barbariskt med bara och svällande mansarmar tidigare.

Men det finns omskrivningar för kvinnor i sagorna som talar vackert om armar prydda med ringar, vilket kan antyda att kvinnor generellt sett var mer barärmade. Detta verkar ha varit inte alltför ovanligt tidigare på järnåldern.
Så det kan ligga något i det.

Just nu håller jag på att göra en dräkt med inspiration från den sidan. En långärmad ull-klänning, med en kortärmad, lite kortare över klänning (även den i ull) Till detta kommer jag även göra en kappa som den som vikinga kvinnan här på historiska världar har.

I den finns en del analyser av bildstenar för att ta reda på hur de var klädda. Ärmarna verkar kunna ha varit ganska korta, komer dock inte ihåg hur korta. Ska kolla på det när jag kommer ihåg det och har boken tillgänglig. Läs gärna den boken, jag tyckte den var bra!

Det verkar i alla fall finnas avbildningar som åtminståne liknar kortärmade tunikor (även om det kan röra sig om ringbrynjor).
