Är nu stolt ägare till en dylik dyrgrip =)
På Borre var det en dansk man som tillverkade nålar i olika sorters ben och horn. Jag tror han hade en 30-40 olika material i sina olika ålar. En tysk kille satt och tillverkade mässings- och silvernålar (knappnålar). Han hade två olika typer; en där tråden var snurrad till ett knappnålshuvud och en där silvret var upphettat så det formade en kula. Enligt honom var båda gjorda efter fynd, men jag vet inte hur det är med den saken.

Jag skall höra efter med osteologerna på arkeologiavdelningen här på högskolan vad det gäller benfynd och perioder. Nålar i järn och brons torde väl inte vara någon omöjlighet att göra heller. Jag skall undersöka möjligheterna. Det finns lite att köpa här men jag skall se vad jag kan göra för att tillgodose folks önskemål.
Om det finns intresse att titta på nålarna så kan jag lägga upp bilder på min hemsida. Annars går det utmärkt att höra av sig till min under medeltidsveckan för en närmare titt!

Sedan har jag även gjort av svanben och de är mycket styvare och duger fint till att sy grövre saker med.
