man skulle kanske kunna schellackera (schellack löst i etanol, lämpligtvis relativt tjock) tråden innan, för att få ett oxidationsskydd? fast risken är väl att det blir små sprickor när man böjer tråden, och att man får en punktvis oxidation. å andra sidan kan det vara bättre än att få allt oxiderat. aldrig testat, bara en idé...

dessutom, utöver att man får en vacker lyster på metallen, borde man ju på detta sätt faktiskt skydda tyget mot oxidfläckar! silvertråd skulle på detta sätt få en mycket fin guldlyster, genom en någorlunda historiskt belagt metod. finns massa recept på olika lasyrer för att ge oädla metaller en guldlyster!

när det gäller andra material, hur är det med alla nya tunna metalltrådar för smycketillverkning, de som man kan sticka med och som har lite "stuns"? inte provat dessa heller...

Jag skulle behöva tips på var man kan få tag på tillräckligt mjuk och och "vridvänlig" metalltråd i guld, mässing eller nått regelvidrigt diskbänksmaterial. Bara det funkar!

Klassisk försilvrad tenntråd funkar, men det känns för "hobby" i detta fallet. Vanlig dragen mässingstråd tenderar till att få små böjjar under arbetets gång, vilket ger ett oregelbundet possament.
