Jag tror jag har löst mysteriet...

Regissören Paul McGuigan är född i Skottland vilket gör att man kan misstänka en brittisk produktion eller åtminstone inte en renodlad Hollywoodprodukt vilket medfört att det färdiga verket släppts tidigare i Europa än i USA. Att jänkarna sedan i vanlig ordning anser sig vara universums medelpunkt och att siter som t.ex IMDb.com sätter releasedatumet för USA-versionen som filmens faktiska produktionsdatum leder till viss förvirring.
På Ginza anges t.ex. produktionsåret till 2002.
