Jo då du säger det så stämmer det ju att gjutjärn är sprött. Smida mindre grejer som lammeler borde de dock ha kunnat göra. Då vi också sett att de skaffat stor inspiration från romarna, men det kan vi ta i någon annan rubrik.

Aj. Om lädret är styvt minskar det kanske risken för benbrott/sprickor något och det tar säkerligen bort lite av smärtan, men det gör fortfarande obehagligt ont. Jag har 3 mm läder över ca 10 mm stoppning, det passar bra för mig. Jag får bulor på armarna vid hårda träffar, men har inte drabbats av några allvarligare skador hittills. Funderar på att minska skyddet något eftersom jag får färre träffar numera.

Får man fråga vad du har för stoppning på skenorna? Är det någon stoppad historia eller annan lösning? Hur har du löst fastsättningen på insidan? Har en vag plan om att bygga armskydd till Mosgård men tänkte vänta tills jag hittar en bra lösning innan jag köper matyerial... det lutar i dagsläget åt enkla bazubands, kanske med skenor alá valsgärde.

Ett harnesk i läder skyddar enligt min uppfattning ganska bra, förutsatt att lädret är hyfsat styvt. Det bildas då en luftficka mellan harnesk och kropp, en ficka som måste komprimeras för att slaget skall göra ont. Detta stoppar inte allt, men tillräckligt. Där lädret ligger direkt mot kroppen skyddar det sämre, även om exv ett bra njurbälte kan rädda ditt liv.
